Life Drawing  (No Registration Necessary)

This six-week, digital photography course presented by Gallery+ artist/owner, Zackary Hoon, will focus on the elements of exposure (ie. take your camera off auto mode) and compostion skills.

The course will consist of 3-4 assignments where students will share their work during positive, class critiques. There will also be a group photo outing for those who wish to participate. The course will culminate with a student show at Gallery+ during the July 20, 2018 Third Friday at 78th Street Studios.

Take Better Pictures with Your DSLR

This is a one day, 3-hour, workshop where students will learn the basics of composition and how to take advantage of the iPhone's ability to capture and process images you will be proud to share and even print and frame.


The course includes instruction and a photo shoot where students will be able to put what they've learned into action.

Students must provide their own equipment. Class size is limited to 6. Students will be able to participate in a virtual photography exhibit.

Coordinated by The West Side Markers Figure Drawing Group, classes are held every Monday at Gallery+ from 6:30 - 9:00pm. Open to anyone who wants to draw from a live model, all types of drawing and painting medium are welcome (but poses tend to be too short for painting in oil). We follow a traditional format similar to the Cleveland Institute of Art, starting with gestures, then going into longer poses, usually up to 30 minutes. Information about each session is available on Facebook and Meetup. Cost is $10 per person per session. Note models are unclothed.
